Please observe the following rules, which are intended to keep you and others safe on the road:
- Helmets are required.
- Ear buds are not allowed.
- Participants must follow California Vehicle Code regulations. This includes pulling off the road and stopping for emergency vehicles.
- RIDE SINGLE FILE as much as possible, and be alert for passing vehicles (including faster cyclists).
- Leave adequate stopping distance between riders.
- Be courteous with all motorists and residents you encounter.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your bicycle is in safe working condition. All bicycles must be equipped with both front and rear brakes.
- Electric bicycles of Class 1 and Class 3 are permitted. There will be no opportunities for recharging your battery during the ride.
- All riders MUST carry some form of identification, including an emergency contact phone number. Every minor not accompanied by a parent MUST carry this Medical Consent Form. If you have a medical alert bracelet, please wear it.
- You are responsible for your own medical insurance.
- Riders will be asked to sign a Waiver during on line registration or at on site registration. Parents of riders under 18 years of age must fill out this Parental Authorization and Release.
- All riders are required to report accidents or injuries to a check point official or radio person.
- Personal support vehicles are not permitted.
